The National Museum of Wildlife Art features a collection of over 4,000 pieces of sculptures and paintings dedicated to one of the nation's oldest art forms - wildlife art. The museum is located north of town and rests upon a butte overlooking the city and the National Elk Refuge. The collection at the museum follows the evolution of the art form from 2000 B.C.E. to the present, including an amazing display of frontier art from the expansion of the West by European on new American explorers.
